What we found out about JustMyHookups.com?
Here are the five talking points that serve as evidence to back up our suspicions. Each point is more elaborately explained in the following text.
- JustMyHookups.com creates fake dating profiles called “Love Stars”
- “Love Stars” are completely fictitious and used to communicate with you
- The messages they send are computer-automated and made-up
- JustMyHookups.com has only one goal and that is to take your money
- Nothing you do on JustMyHookups.com will result in actual date or lead to hooking up
How does JustMyHookups.com scam you?
1) Using the “Love Stars” Program
When looking at the photos of all the women registered on JustMyHookups.com we began to wonder why all these gorgeous women would be looking for dates on an online dating site. In our practice this is actually the first sign of scam (see photos to the right). JustMyHookups.com admits in the Terms of Use to fabricating female dating profiles also called “Love Stars”, which are not real members of the website. They are marketing tools to deceive and trick real site users when, in fact, everything from their pictures to their personal interests and information on the profile is completely fake and made-up.
FROM THE TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT: “You understand, acknowledge, and agree that some of the user profiles posted on this site may be fictitious or models or bots related to our “Love Stars” (LS) program. You understand, acknowledge, and agree that the information, text, and pictures contained in the LS profiles do not pertain to any actual person or member, but are included for entertainment purposes only.”
2) Sending Automated Messages from LS Profiles
The “Love Stars” service is a deception that also includes sending computer-automated email and chat messages. Even the women on the videos are paid models that are hired and only doing their job in front of the camera. If you are careful you won’t even realize you are receiving emails from fake members of the site. The fact is that all communications directed at you are coming from computer software programs that use automated email messages and send them to all free members on the site.
FROM THE TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT: “Our LS work for the site in an effort to stimulate dialogue with users and to stimulate user participation on the Website and Services, advertisement of the Website and Services, and the creation of user profiles. You further understand, acknowledge, and agree that, from time-to-time, LS may contact Website and Services users and members via electronic messaging, including for example, email, instant messages, and SMS, for purposes of encouraging further or broader participation in our site’s Services and/or to monitor user activity.”
3) It’s All About the Money
When you are signing up for the site, it says “Join For Free Now”, and actually that is the only thing that’s free on this site. After you have signed up, created your profile and started checking out the site, you are asked to pay by upgrading your membership with every step you make. You see a woman you’d like to start a conversation with? –You’d have to pay to be able to send her a message. You get tons of messages in your inbox? –You have to upgrade your membership to be able to read the content of the emails or to write back. Not to mention that accessing Videos and Live Cams is another paid feature on the site. Here are JustMyHookups.com payment options (all automatically renewed):
- $2.97 for 3 days trial period
- $29.95 for 1 month site membership
- $74.85 for 3 months of site membership
- $119.70 for 6 months of membership on the site
- $39.42 for 1 month at ElitePersonalShopper.com
4) JustMyHookups.com Is Not a Dating Service and Knows It
It was only logical to conclude that since all the women on the site were fake and created by the site itself, and all the messages you get are computer-generated, coming to you through the fake profiles…this site is an endless loop of scam. Plus, it’s only aimed at your credit card and not really interested in making matches or helping you hookup or find a date.
FROM THE TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT: “You understand, acknowledge, and agree that no physical meeting will ever take place between you and LS, and that the exchange of messages between you and a LS is for entertainment purposes, as well as to encourage further or broader participation in our site’s Services and/or to monitor user activities.”
The verdict on JustMyHookups.com
We kindly advise you to steer clear from this site. It will use every means it has on disposal to deceive you, trick you and rip you off. It would be fair if you’d at least be getting what you are paying for, but instead, you are getting a big box of nicely packed lies. So, don’t fall for it.
